Reports from Italy reveal that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reached a personal agreement with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as discussions continue with his current club, Napoli. The 25-year-old Napoli forward is poised to join the French Ligue 1 giants, with PSG emerging as the leading contender for his transfer.

According to Tuttosport, Osimhen has agreed to a five-year contract with PSG, reportedly worth €14 million per season. However, the deal is pending as PSG and Napoli have yet to settle on a transfer fee. Napoli is holding firm on Osimhen’s €130 million release clause, while PSG is reportedly willing to offer €100 million along with one unnamed player as part of the deal.

Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, was recently in Paris for negotiations with PSG. The Ligue 1 champions are keen to finalize the transfer, but Napoli’s reluctance to lower the release clause has complicated matters. PSG’s latest offer includes potential players such as Carlos Soler, Nordi Mukiele, and Lee Kang-in, though the specifics of the player inclusion have not been confirmed.

Napoli, now managed by Antonio Conte, is prepared to let Osimhen go but seeks a deal that meets their financial demands. Conte has reportedly identified Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku as a suitable replacement for Osimhen at Stadio Maradona.

Updates

Osimhen’s transfer saga continues to develop, with PSG aiming to complete the move before the end of the transfer window. The final terms of the deal and the exact compensation package remain under negotiation.
