In celebration of its 75th anniversary, United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) has awarded over N17 million to 30 customers in its August draw, a significant highlight of the bank’s ongoing legacy promotion.
The draw, which took place recently in Lagos, was conducted under the watchful eye of representatives from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission. The event was part of UBA’s efforts to commemorate its long-standing service and express appreciation to its customer base.
In the top tier of the draw, 10 fortunate winners each received N1 million. Among the recipients were Joshua Izenobor, Chigozie Abel, and Cornelius Nwankwo. This tier of the draw showcased the bank’s commitment to rewarding its loyal customers with substantial prizes.
The second tier saw another 10 winners each awarded N500,000. Notable winners in this category included Elizabeth Warekoromor and Deborah Ijeoma Simon.
Additionally, 10 account holders in the third category were granted N250,000 each. This tier’s winners included Olusegun Oke and Salisu Adamu.
Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s Group Head of Retail & Digital Banking, congratulated the winners and encouraged others to continue saving for future opportunities. “This is just the beginning of our legacy promo draw. We plan to reward 75 winners in each category, with 195 more customers to be selected in the coming months. Our draws are transparent, and the next millionaire could be you,” Fashola said.
Alero Ladipo, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, emphasized that the draw was part of the bank’s broader strategy to appreciate its customers and promote a culture of saving. “This initiative reflects our commitment to giving back to society and ensuring our customers feel valued,” Ladipo stated.
UBA’s anniversary celebration and reward draw underscore the bank’s dedication to both its customers and its enduring legacy in the financial sector.
