In a significant development, Starlink has granted authorization to TD Africa, Nigeria’s premier technology distributor, to distribute Starlink Kits in Africa. This move aligns with TD Africa’s mission to democratize internet access in Nigeria and throughout the continent.

Starlink, known for delivering high-speed, low-latency internet globally, offers quality and cost-effective internet access to homes, businesses, and particularly addresses the needs of those in remote and underserved locations. Utilizing the world’s first and largest satellite constellation in low Earth orbit, Starlink provides broadband internet capable of supporting various applications, including streaming, online gaming, and video calls.

TD Africa, leveraging Starlink’s unique features such as high-speed connectivity, low latency, broad coverage, and scalability, aims to bridge the digital divide. With a notable customer base of 2.3 million by the end of 2023 and a presence in over 70 countries, Starlink has emerged as a transformative player since launching its first orbital satellite in 2019.

TD Africa plans to distribute Starlink Internet Kits across Nigeria, utilizing its extensive distribution network and experience. In a press statement, Chioma Chimere, TD Africa’s Coordinating Managing Director, emphasized the synergy between TD Africa’s expertise as a leading distributor of technology solutions and Starlink’s commitment to revolutionizing internet access worldwide.

Chimere expressed excitement about the growth opportunities presented by this agreement across the continent, underscoring TD Africa’s mission to provide accessible, affordable, and usable internet solutions to individuals and businesses.
