Yewande Ayowole, Talent Leader for Anglophone Africa at Schneider Electric, emphasized the company’s focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), highlighting its mission to foster a sense of belonging for all employees, irrespective of their backgrounds or locations. Ayowole emphasized the importance of supporting young women professionals through sponsorship and mentorship programs aimed at nurturing their leadership capabilities.

Ayowole noted that Schneider Electric’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP) #ImpactStartsWithUs embodies its commitment to DEI, with a particular emphasis on achieving gender diversity across various levels of the organization. She highlighted the company’s active participation in events like the Society of Women Engineers’ (SWE) Conference as evidence of its dedication to supporting organizations with shared inclusion goals.

Furthermore, Ayowole discussed Schneider Electric’s initiatives to address gender pay disparities through the Schneider Electric Pay Equity Framework, implemented globally since 2019. She also highlighted the company’s adoption of a Global Anti-Harassment policy and a Global Family Leave policy to reinforce its commitment to a culture of inclusion and support for its employees.

Ayowole emphasized that Schneider Electric’s approach is aligned with the World Bank’s recognition that full participation of women and men is essential for the advancement of any country, community, or economy.
