Dele Kelvin Oye Esq., the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), has urged American investors and Nigerians living abroad to explore the vast opportunities available for addressing the numerous development challenges facing Nigeria and the African continent.

Speaking as a panelist at the USA/Africa Business Expo in New York, USA, Oye emphasized the potential for substantial profits in providing solutions to Africa’s developmental issues. He also encouraged entrepreneurs to tap into the opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Highlighting the comprehensive reforms and policies initiated by President Bola Tinubu to make Nigeria more attractive for foreign investments, Oye stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral trade relations between Nigeria and the United States to foster economic growth and prosperity in both nations.

Oye remarked, “Nigeria boasts a large population of over 240 to 250 million people. This means that even selling a simple product in Nigeria can make you a billionaire without the need to venture outside the country.”

He further emphasized the abundance of local talents in Nigeria, urging investors not to rely on expatriates but to collaborate with the wealth of skilled individuals within the country.

Additionally, Oye urged investors to view Africa’s challenges as opportunities and to consider becoming pioneers in addressing issues such as electricity and water supply. He encouraged them to bring emerging technologies to Africa and collaborate with local talents to provide innovative solutions.

Concluding his address, Oye called on investors to share any inventions and technological advancements with Nigeria and Africa, emphasizing the importance of contributing to problem-solving efforts in their home countries.

Gbenga Omotayo, Executive Director at USAfrica Trade, commended Oye’s speech as one of the most significant discussions on the abundant opportunities in Nigeria and Africa.
