The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, extends warm felicitations to Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, on the occasion of his 67th birthday.
Governor Yusuf lauds Dangote as a distinguished son of Kano whose philanthropic endeavors have uplifted countless households across Nigeria and Africa. In a statement released by the governor’s Director-General of Media and Publicity, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, Yusuf highlights Dangote’s pivotal role in bolstering the nation’s economy and fostering Africa’s growth and development.
“Kano, your ancestral home, remains deeply appreciative of your humanitarian gestures, particularly your recent distribution of palliatives to millions of the less privileged. Your willingness to collaborate and support our administration’s policy initiatives will undoubtedly drive profound social and economic development in the state,” Yusuf remarks.
“As you enter a new chapter in history, we wish you continued good health, profound wisdom, and longevity to continue making a positive impact on humanity,” he adds.
In a related note, Governor Yusuf expresses condolences to the family and members of the Hausa film industry following the passing of veteran actress Saratu Gidado, fondly known as Daso.
Daso, who passed away early Tuesday at her residence in Kano, was revered for her portrayal of diverse characters embodying discipline, tenacity, and ethical standards crucial for societal and national advancement. Governor Yusuf calls on stakeholders in the Hausa film industry to emulate Daso’s commitment to fostering national unity and promoting religious and cultural harmony.
“She was a staunch advocate for peace and tranquility in Kano, Northern Nigeria, and beyond,” he reflects.
The governor offers prayers for Allah to grant Daso’s family and companions the strength to bear this loss.
