In a groundbreaking move, First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has launched a revolutionary product called FCMB Airtime Advance. This innovative offering allows customers to borrow amounts ranging from N200 to N5,000 directly from their bank accounts, enabling them to purchase airtime regardless of their financial circumstances.

The primary objective of the Airtime Advance solution is to provide immediate relief to customers who find themselves urgently in need of airtime for phone calls, text messaging, and other essential communication activities. With FCMB Airtime Advance, customers no longer have to worry about running out of airtime and can avoid the frustration of being disconnected during important conversations.

FCMB Airtime Advance is an exclusive product developed by the bank, aimed at bridging the funding gap and ensuring that customers never experience the discomfort of insufficient airtime again. It offers flexibility in terms of repayment cycles, with the loan amount being deducted from the customer’s account.

Both existing FastCash loan holders and customers without prior loans can access the Airtime Advance based on their eligibility. They can do so by dialing FCMB’s USSD code *329# or using the loan string 32911#. Furthermore, qualified customers have the option to purchase Airtime Advance for their family, friends, and associates.

During the recent product launch event in Lagos, FCMB’s Managing Director, Mrs. Yemisi Edun, expressed her excitement about being the first bank in Nigeria to introduce an Airtime Advance product. She emphasized the bank’s commitment to assisting individuals, households, and businesses across the nation in meeting their critical needs. Mrs. Edun encouraged Nigerians to take advantage of FCMB Airtime Advance while highlighting the bank’s dedication to delivering value-added digital banking solutions and superior customer experiences.

Mr. Shamsideen Fashola, FCMB’s Divisional Head of Personal Banking, also shared his thoughts on the new product. He explained that the Airtime Advance was born out of necessity, as the inability to purchase airtime and the consequent disconnection during important calls can be embarrassing. Mr. Fashola assured customers that FCMB’s retail banking products would continue to cater to the market’s demands and align with the lifestyles and needs of the people. He further promised that the bank would leverage technology and innovation to provide a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints.

FCMB’s introduction of FCMB Airtime Advance marks a significant milestone in the banking industry, offering a practical solution to the long-standing problem of insufficient airtime. By eliminating this constraint, FCMB empowers its customers to stay connected and communicate effectively without the worry of running out of airtime.
