Upbeat Centre, Nigeria’s premier trampoline and recreation park, recently hosted a highly successful Children’s Fun Day as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Partnering with the One African Child Foundation, the event brought together children from underserved communities for a day filled with physical activities, life lessons, and interactive learning.

The Children’s Fun Day was not just about fun and games. It was designed to teach the children valuable life skills, inspired by Upbeat Centre’s upcoming comic series The Hoppa, which focuses on teamwork, health, fitness, and self-confidence. The holistic approach of the event combined recreation with education, making it a memorable experience for all involved.

Speaking about the success of the event, Upbeat Centre’s Operations Manager, Babatunde Akingbola, shared his enthusiasm. “Hosting the Children’s Fun Day was an incredibly fulfilling experience. This day was more than fun – it was about instilling valuable lessons in the children, inspired by The Hoppa curriculum. We are proud to collaborate with the One African Child Foundation and are thrilled to see the positive impact this event has had on the children,” said Akingbola.

The day’s activities included trampoline jumps, relay races, and wall climbing, all aligning with The Hoppa’s emphasis on physical fitness and resilience. These activities were designed to encourage teamwork, determination, and healthy competition while promoting an active lifestyle among the children.

In addition to the physical activities, the children participated in interactive workshops that highlighted the risks of screen addiction and the importance of a balanced diet and regular exercise. These sessions were rooted in The Hoppa’s Wellbeing & Safety and Food & Nutrition pillars, providing practical lessons that the children could apply to their everyday lives.

The event aligns with Upbeat Centre’s larger mission of promoting health and well-being, especially among children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Through initiatives like this, Upbeat Centre also reinforces its commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 3, which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for people of all ages.

As West Africa’s leading trampoline and recreation park, Upbeat Centre continues to offer state-of-the-art facilities and programs that foster active lifestyles. The Centre remains committed to creating positive experiences for families, schools, and communities while prioritizing safety, inclusivity, and social responsibility.

For the children who attended, the Fun Day was not just a chance to play but an opportunity to learn, grow, and gain the confidence needed to thrive
