In a devastating incident, at least four individuals suffered injuries on Wednesday as a fire engulfed the premises of Fat Noble filling station, an independent oil marketing firm located along Old Road, opposite Torikoh, Badagry, Lagos.

As per NAN reports, the mishap occurred around 1:00 am while attendants were dispensing petrol into jerry cans and sacks at the back of the station. The victims were promptly rushed to General Hospital in Badagry for medical attention even before the arrival of the fire service.

A source revealed that the attendants were involved in selling fuel, intended for smuggling out of the country, when a sudden explosion transpired. The fire wreaked havoc on parts of the station before the Lagos Fire Service could intervene.

The fire was successfully extinguished by 3:55 am on the same day. Most of the victims had already been taken to the general hospital before the fire service’s arrival.

Upon visiting the emergency unit of the hospital, a NAN correspondent observed four men with various injuries lying in pain.
