PARIS — President Bola Tinubu is concluding a multi-city European working visit as Vice President Kashim Shettima leads Nigeria’s engagements at the United Nations in New York. During his stay in Europe, Tinubu held high-level discussions with French leadership and industrial investors while issuing executive directives on domestic matters. The administration maintains that delegating UNGA duties to the Vice President aligns with effective governance and administrative efficiency.
In New York, the Nigerian delegation is pursuing key economic objectives, focusing on international trade partnerships, technology transfer, and development funding. While domestic critics argue that presidential attendance is crucial for securing top-tier bilateral deals, government representatives argue that Nigeria’s strategic objectives are being vigorously pursued by cabinet ministers and diplomatic leaders present at the assembly.
