The Federal Government, state governments, and local councils shared a total of N1.928 trillion as Federation Account revenue for November 2025, marking a 7.93% decline from the N2.094 trillion distributed in October, according to a statement by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
The November allocation comprised N1.403 trillion in statutory revenue, N485.838 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), and N39.646 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL). After deductions for collection costs and transfers, the Federal Government received N747.159 billion, states got N601.731 billion, local governments received N445.266 billion, while oil-producing states shared N134.355 billion as 13% derivation revenue.
The decline in allocations was attributed to weaker inflows across major revenue lines, including petroleum profit tax, hydrocarbon tax, companies income tax, import duties, VAT, and other fees, despite a modest increase in excise duties.
Experts note that the FAAC allocations remain critical, as over 30 states rely on these receipts for at least 80% of their revenue, highlighting ongoing fiscal pressures despite increased federal inflows in the first ten months of 2025.
