A new player has entered Nigeria’s aviation scene as ETAM Avitat Services Limited officially launched its operations in the nation’s capital, Abuja, signaling a renewed drive toward strengthening aviation infrastructure, service excellence, and private sector participation in the industry.
The launch, held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, brought together aviation stakeholders, government representatives, and business leaders who lauded the initiative as a step toward enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness in regional and global aviation services.
ETAM Avitat Services Limited is a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) committed to providing high-quality aviation services, including ground handling, Jet A1 fuel release, flight planning, and aircraft charter, management, and maintenance support. These services are tailored to meet the operational requirements of both domestic and international operators.
Speaking at the event, the company’s Managing Director, caption Edom Tawo, emphasized ETAM’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s aviation ecosystem through strategic investments and partnerships.
“Our goal is to make Abuja a top destination for business and private aviation in Africa. We’re introducing global service standards that will redefine customer experience and operational efficiency in Nigeria’s aviation sector,” he said.
Industry experts noted that ETAM’s entry comes at a critical time when Nigeria’s aviation sector is undergoing transformation, with rising passenger traffic, new airport projects, and increasing demand for private charter services.
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) both commended the company’s investment, describing it as aligned with the government’s vision of fostering a robust and sustainable aviation industry.
