Nigeria, UAE Record $4.3bn in Non-Oil Trade, Deepening Bilateral Ties

Non-oil trade between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reached an all-time high of $4.3 billion, underscoring the growing economic partnership between the two countries.

Officials disclosed that the surge reflects increased cooperation in sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, technology, and services, as both nations move to diversify away from oil dependency.

The milestone was announced during a trade forum aimed at strengthening commercial relations. Stakeholders from both countries emphasized that the growing figures highlight confidence in Nigeria’s market potential and the UAE’s role as a global trade hub.

“This achievement signals a stronger future for Nigeria-UAE relations, built not just on oil but on innovation, investment, and shared prosperity,” one official noted.

Analysts believe the record numbers could pave the way for greater foreign direct investment, enhanced job creation, and new opportunities for Nigerian exporters in the Middle East.
