Jigawa Pilgrims Board Urges Early Payment Ahead of 2026 Hajj

Jigawa Pilgrims Board Urges Early Payment Ahead of 2026 Hajj

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has reminded intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise to complete their payments before the October deadline set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Ahmad Labbo, stressed that timely payment was crucial to securing slots and ensuring smooth arrangements for travel and accommodation in Saudi Arabia.

He explained that the October deadline was binding on all states and warned that late payments might disqualify intending pilgrims from participating in the spiritual exercise.

“We urge our pilgrims to pay up as soon as possible. This will help us finalize logistics and avoid last-minute challenges. The Hajj is a sacred obligation, and proper preparation is key,” Labbo said.

He also assured that the Jigawa State government, in collaboration with NAHCON, is committed to providing adequate welfare and support for pilgrims throughout the exercise.

The reminder comes as several states across Nigeria intensify sensitization campaigns to encourage early compliance with the Hajj payment schedule.
