International Breweries Records ₦488.96bn Revenue, Up 88% Year-on-Year

International Breweries Plc has announced a sharp rise in its earnings, posting revenue of ₦488.96 billion for the latest financial year, representing an 88 percent increase compared to the previous year.

The company disclosed the figures in its audited financial statements released to the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) on Thursday, attributing the surge to improved sales volumes, stronger brand performance, and strategic market expansion.

Management noted that despite macroeconomic challenges, including inflationary pressures and rising production costs, the brewer achieved significant growth across its product lines.

“This performance reflects our resilience and commitment to innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. We are confident that with continuous investment and operational excellence, the company will sustain this growth trajectory,” the statement read.

Industry analysts say the remarkable revenue increase underscores the competitive strength of International Breweries in Nigeria’s beverage market, where rising consumer demand has created opportunities despite declining purchasing power.

However, experts caution that profitability margins and foreign exchange volatility remain critical factors that could impact future performance.

International Breweries, a subsidiary of AB InBev, remains one of Nigeria’s largest brewers, with flagship brands including Trophy Lager, Hero, and Budweiser.
